
We recently completed and commissioned a 4000L four-plate column distillation system designed for high-volume craft spirit production. The system is configured for fum, gin, brandy and other potable spirits requiring both throughout and flavor preservation.
Alongside the main production unit, weāve also provided a 50L experimental distillation skid–a fully functional pilot system intended for recipe development, staff training, and small-batch limited releases.

4000L Distillery Equipment–Operational Advantages:
- Flavor Preservation at Scale
Four plates provide sufficient reflux to concentrate alcohol and separate heads fractions, but avoid the excessive rectification associated with higher plate counts. The spirit retains measurable esters and congeners-essential for aged products.
- Single-Run Efficiency
The system eliminates the need for double distillation. A single pass through the four-plate column yields spirit ready for barrel entry or finishing. This reduces energy consumption by approximately 40% compared to traditional pot still double distillation.
- Flexible Reflux Control
The dephlegmator permits real-time adjustment of reflux ratio without changing column configuration. Operators can produce light, neutral-style spirit in the early run, then transition to a heavier profile by reducing coolant flow–all within the same batch.
- Clean-in-Place Integration
The system is plumbed for CIP. Spray ball installed in boiler, with return connections at condenser outlet. Caustic and acid cycles can be performed without manual disassembly of copper components.
