Embrace Flexibility: Your Brewery, Your Configuration

At the core of our philosophy is the belief that the equipment should adapt for our client’s process, not the other way around. While our standard 10BBL Fermentation Tank/Unitanks features a user-friendly, shadowless side-mounted manhole for easy access and cleaning, we understand that some brewing traditions and facility layouts demand a different approach.
That‘s why we offer fully customizable manhole positioning, if your workflow or space requires it, we can expertly engineer your fermenter with a classic Top Mounted Manhole.

10BBL Fermentation Tank/Unitanks–When to Choose a Custom Top-Mounted Manhole?
This configuration is not just a matter of preference, it often solves specific practical challenges:
- Limited Lateral Space: if your fermentation room is long and narrow, having side manholes on multiple tanks might require excessive aisle space for opening. Top-mounted manholes eliminate this lateral swing, allowing tanks to be placed closer together.

- Overhead Crane or Gantry Access: if your facility is equipped with overhead lifting systems, a clean, uncluttered top profile makes it safer and easier to hoist and maneuver equipment directly into the tank.

- Traditional Brewing Workflow: some brewers, especially those with a background in classic European brewing, prefer the top-down access for certain processes, such as manually skimming or inspecting the kreusen during active fermentation.

- Specific Plumbing Layouts: in some engineered cellar layouts, all utility connections(air, glycol, CIP) are designed to come from above. A top manhole configuration can streamline this overhead piping cluster.
